Trip to Inverness
What a fortunate opportunity that the Loch Ness monster made herself visible just for the Toronto All Stars Steel Orchestra's visit. There hasn't been a sighting in the last 25 years. Please note, that you have to have a special lens to capture this shot. The visit was well worth it. Today we did a bus tour up to Inverness to visit the infamous Loch Ness monster. It was just over 100 miles away so the bus ride was quite lengthy. However, the band members took this opportunity to enjoy the scenic rolling hills, while others caught up on some sleep. We stopped on the way to pick up lunch and then continued our journey to Inverness. Once we arrived, the band members ran off the bus with excitement. Simultaneously, Salmon stayed behind to host a workshop at the Lemon Tree with the locals in Aberdeen. We were very fortunate that some were able to catch a sight of the Loch Ness monster. The boat ride was all fun, as even the youngest band members had a chance to take the wheel and steer the boat down the Loch. Once the boat ride had concluded, we boarded the bus and journeyed back to Aberdeen. We arrived home at around 5pm, just in time for dinner at the HUB. Then we enjoyed a free evening afterwards. The band members hit the showers in preparation for a traditional Scottish Ceilidh dance at the dome.
