Days 26 and 27 - To Scotland, by Train and Car Our train to Edinburgh left a little after noon so we had time to relax in the morning, get packed up and make our way to the station. Weaponry

An expert in ancient weaponry was on hand to demonstrate and answer questions. He led Tony and Michelle play with the (not) toys.

Locks to Loch Ness

We ate next to the lock system for a canal that goes 67 miles into Scotland (through Loch Ness). They opened the locks for a handful of boats just in time for us to watch.

Google thought it was great fun to take us down these side roads ... I guess they are shorter?? But they are a lot of fun to drive down... plus.. SHEEP

Trekking Stairs

This is how hikers and trekkers cross property lines and fences. Also, perspective is cool.. or Michelle grew a lot.

California Friends in Aberdeen

We have to go 6,000 miles across an ocean to meet with friends who live and work within 30 miles of home.

Never saw this before

Mae's ball stopped directly on top of the round lip. The attendant said he never heard of such a thing before.
