Well the forest rally has come and gone... seemed to be quite a good weekend. Although Dave and I didn't get to see much of it since we were working the whole time... kind of a trend starting I think. We haven't been that busy this month, a wee bit boring actually. And work is a bit unsure at the moment, since it seems the staff are all about to cut and run. We both really like Nick and Debbie so hopefully things work out, we'll just have to wait and see. The island is quite secluded and it would be easier if we had a car (you know me always picking the most difficult places to live 😉 But in general it is such a wonderful place, the summer is going to be so different I'm sure. At the moment though we're getting VERY excited about our trip to Paris on Wednesday! We'll be there for 6 days and don't worry I'll be sure to get Dave to take lots of pictures 😊
The winter has been very mild in comparison to Canada. A lot more rain, but not very cold. It has been trying to snow, but really only lasts for the morning (mostly just frost). There's quite a lot of snow hitting London at the moment and some flights are delayed, hopefully next week will be clear for our flight to France. We just got our Christamas package from Mom & Dad (love yous), it's about time I know. Lots of snacks, cough drops and my runners. Dave got his Pink Floyd Pulse DVD that my brother got him for chirstmas in the package and it actually works in the DVD player so he's really happy about that too. I've taken up knitting again (slow going as always) and been reading some good books borrowed from a good friend across the glen. Christine house sits there and the family who owns the house has a cat named Pepper (whos very friendly, and drools a lot like Lizzy) and a dog named Jim Bo (who loves to go walking and break apart sticks). It really is great to have some animals around, it's so much more important to me than I ever realise. Maybe I really should go back to school to help animals... just a thought.

on our way to Paris

8th March 2007

Hello David and Sarah
I was so excited to get your e-mail! Uncle Bob and I were just talking about you guys last night and how long it had been since we had heard form you. We are very busy here with Jolene, Tim and Isabella living with us. They have bought a house and last weekend we could have used your help. We had a big renno gathering and tore out all the flooring. David- as usual your mom and Dad were a fabulous asset to the work crew. Your dad was the foreman as he know what needs to be done and in what order. The next step is painting. Gramma and your mom cooked beautiful hot lunches and everyone seemed to have a good and productive time. There were a few sor muscles, bruises and cut. Everyone had a story to tell when they went back to work on Monday! I am so pleased that you will be visiting Paris. What a terrific trip. Please take lots of photos as it had been a long while since I have been there. Are you still playing music and entertaining the crowds David? I am certain that you are looking forward to spring and summer. Do you think you will be back in September for Lori and Dave's wedding or are you committed to a longer stay? Take care of your self and enjoy this wonderful travel opportunity! Lots of Love Auntie Jane
