Our Venetian vacation is over and it's time to head back to London. We took our five modes of transportation to get back. The
boat, bus, plane, train, tube combo got us back to London at 6:30pm and we unpacked and then started on our homework. This entire trip we are only having four classes and we have had two so far. Sometimes I forget I am on a study abroad trip because we see plays and travel most of the time. In the next two classes we have to give presentations, so that is what I did tonight, work on those. Jaime and I had dinner at Glouster arms and then went back to Metrogate. It was pretty relaxed evening and the day of travel wore us out.

We had class this morning and my first presentation went well, I have to give another one tomorrow. After class we ate lunch at "Pret a Manger." It is a really nice ready made sandwich shop that has great food and is very environmentally friendly. We were already in the area of the British Museum, so we went there and saw the Rosetta stone

the outside of the theatre and Egyptian mummy exhibits. They were so fascinating, in the mummy exhibit they had CAT scans of the mummy and it showed that there were people still inside of the them, with the skeleton, teeth and some flesh still intact. It was incredible. After the museum I ate dinner in, did laundry and finished up my homework. Tonight we saw "Waiting for Godot" with Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart at the Haymarket Theatre. I was so excited to see this production and it definitely did not disappoint. It was wonderful, I was in shock the entire time. Getting to see those two amazing actors on stage together was wonderful!

We had class again today and I gave my second presentation. I think it went well. After class we had lunch at this really cool sushi place called "Yo! Sushi". It was really fun, all the sushi is placed in colored containers and placed on a conveyor belt. All you do is pick up the things you want or you can special order items and when you are finished they add up your colored plates and that is how your pay. The best part

The poster for Waiting for Godot was the unlimited miso soup. After lunch we went to West Minster Abbey. I have been wanting to go there this entire trip. It was beautiful. I attended a litany service of St. Edward the confessor. It is done twice a day in the abbey. I went to the abbey with Kelsey and Rachel, but we decided to split up and meet back up at metrogate later. I took the full audio tour and looked at the entire abbey, it was really interesting. I saw the tombs of Elizabeth I and Mary I, the coronation chair and the tomb of Geoffrey Chaucer. I had a really nice time. Jaime, Kelsey and I really wanted to go dancing while we were in London and have been trying to find time to go. We didn't have a show tonight so we looked up places to go and decided to go to "The Zoo Bar". We got dressed up and headed over there at about 10:30 and danced the night away. We had a lot of fun.

Jaime told us about a place she went to when she was here last and recommend that we all go, so
Borough Market
The entrance to the market we got up this morning and went over there. It is called the "Borough Market". It is near the London Bridge and Southwark cathedral and is amazing. It is a big food market. I know what your thinking, "Patrice would think it was amazing." but really, even if you aren't an avid food lover like myself you still would of loved it. It was a partly indoors and outdoors market that had tons of shops and booths full of organic and fresh produce, delicious cheeses, meats, olives, and sweets. Everything was high quality and they had food from all over the world. It was packed, you could barley move around, but it was worth it. For lunch I got Thai green curry with chicken and seafood with jasmine rice. Jaime got a Greek lamb burger and Kelsey got a roasted veggie calzone. The food there was great. We also bought some sweets for the matinee we were seeing. After the market we had two hours to kill before our show, so we walked around the south bank and looked at the cute shops along the way.
We had a 3:00 matinee at the National Theatre of Phedre by Jean Racine starring Helen Mirren. It is a french play written in Greek style and set in a Greek location. It was amazing! I loved it. We read the play before we got here and it was my favorite play that we read in class and now is one of the best plays I have ever seen. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. After the Phedre we went over to leicester square and ate dinner at a small Italian Restaurant called "Cafe Uno". After dinner we went to a bar called "Arch Angel" for drinks and atmosphere. It was a really nice time.

Oh how fun! II
I'm so jealous that you got to see that production of Godot!!! I'm glad I graduated, because if I had not, I would be listening to Mavourneen talk endlessly about how amazing it was, it would be awful. I'm so jealous.
