We went with Jay to his work again, and then caught the tube into London to get to the train station at Liverpool street. We caught a train from there to Norwich and then another to Great Yarmouth, where we met Lindy. It was so nice to see her again, and also for Doug to meet her. I couldn’t believe it had been ten years since I last saw her!! So we went from there, and had some lunch at a hotel. After this, we drove to the beach-front and walked around there for a bit, the weather wasn’t so great though, so we didn’t stay too long! We then made our way towards her home, and got settled there.. I was so excited to meet Carne (my cousin)as I had never met him before, and he was coming for dinner that night. We had a lovely roast beef for dinner and caught up on many lost years!

We decided to go for a run this morning, and after this, we went into town to have some lunch and do a bit of looking around.. It was a rather miserable day, and we got
Lin and Carne
On the bus to Norwich a little wet from walking in the streets, so we didn’t stay for too long! We were going to visit Mor-Mor that afternoon, I was quite excited and nervous at the same time!! So we stopped at the shops first, and then made our way to visit her! It was so nice to see her again, my eyes filled with tears when I greeted her! I just always wondered if I’d ever see her again, so it was such a good feeling when I did! We sat and chatted for about 2 hours.. She was really making Doug and I laugh, even though she’s 83, she’s still got a great sense of humour!! She kept asking Doug if I was a “good girl”, like she used to say I should be when I was little!! Doug of course agreed that I was good, and was then told that he must have a boring girlfriend then! Well, I left her rather teary-eyed again, and we went to do some shopping. Lu really spoiled us while we were there, we had actually only really stopped at the shops to get some Maltesers ice-cream for Doug and I 😊 Yum… After this we
Norwich Castle
You can see a bit of Norwich Castle in the background, returned home and had some delicious chicken Fajitas for dinner, they were so divine!! Thank you Lu!!

Going to Norwich was our plan today, and we went and picked Carne up on the way as he was joining us. It was about a 30 minute drive from Great Yarmouth. It is a very quaint city, with lots of little markets and cobbled-streets. We wandered around for a little, just to get our bearings, then Lu took us all for a wonderful lunch at an Italian restaurant. I officially had the best Carbonara pasta that i’ve ever tasted!! It was so creamy, and had crispy bacon bits, gosh it was heaven in a dish! 😊 After this, Carne, Dougie and I looked around some more, while Lu did a bit of shopping on her own. We saw some very interesting stuff, and had some coffee afterwards at Caffé Nerro, (Carne thinks it is way better than Starbucks Coffee!Although, I must say I have become a Starbucks fan since we've been travelling, I love their frappachinos!😊) After such a lovely day, we then started to make our way back, so that Dougie and I could pack for
London the next day. Before we did this, we went for a long run on a really pretty route and then had another lovely meal with Lin.

Once again, time had flown by, and we felt really sad to say bye to Lu. Before we went to the station, we stopped at the shops so that we could print some photos for Lu, and buy her a bunch of flowers. After some goodbyes and tears (again), we hopped onto the train to Norwich and couldn’t believe that another wonderful part of our trip was over! We then had to board the train from Norwich that goes to London, Liverpool st. We thought we were going to miss it, so I quickly looked up on the board, saw" Liverpool" and we hopped onto the train just in time! Phew.. Doug didn’t even get a chance to look at the board to double check that it was the right train cause he was running with all the bags! He kept saying to me, “Are you sure we’re on the right train, Tash?” and I kept telling him to trust me! Well.. I started having my own doubts
when the scenery that we went passed wasn’t familiar.. Surely we were returning home on the same tracks as last time?? Well we reassured ourselves for a bit, and tried to relax. Then, the ticket collector came through the aisles and we decided to ask if we were on the right train, just to be safe. After asking if we were going to London, Liverpool STREET, he looked horrified and said, “No!This train is going to Liverpool!!” Oh my word… My heart sank.. Worst of all, Doug gave me such daggers, and looked at me with such an “It’s all your fault” look.. Gosh.. NOW what were we supposed to do? Thank goodness the man felt sorry for us and created a new itinerary for us, and we didn’t have to pay any extra money!! However, we did have to change trains like 4 times!! Eventually Doug forgave me and I felt awfully bad, especially cause I kept telling him so "matter-of-factly" that we were on the right train!!hehe.. Well we got back in the end, and managed to meet up with Karl eventually!! We walked a bit on Oxford Street and then decided to grab some lunch at Starbucks..
It was nice for Doug to catch up, and after a bit we decided to head for home, and Karl had to get back to Brighton. We had to go home and pack AGAIN!! But this time it was a big pack, as we weren’t coming back to London!! We were flying to Denmark the next day. We had a lovely pasta with Jay and Clare then hit the sack, ready for another early start the next day.
