Week 3 13th
First week of work was alright nothing overly special I get to catch a train for 40min across London to Camden Council where I’m a glorified call logger! So I fix as much as I can but I’m fighting against all the standard restrictions and lack of permissions, so can’t really fix that much but at least it’s pays(£14 - $40 an hour;-p) well and is keeps my weekends free for traveling;-) I haven’t ride the 14miles to work yet but intent to try in the next couple weeks. I’ve arranged a trip with Ariane and Conor to oxford this weekend which should be great. Naomi can’t make it as she is in Ireland with her opar family. This week on the Ebay front;-p I bought a blowup mattress, an external hard drive case and am indicator to replace the one that was rather smashed in the crash.
Oxford - It was a good trip, we left on Saturday morning, and explored the local streets and museums
Taking way to many pictures as usual, we found some really nice Uni dorm courtyards, and I found out that one of them was used in a Harry Potter film
for the learning to fly brooms scene;-p For lunch we had a Cornish pasty, was really nice, I think I’ll have to try make some when I get home properly. We also joined the rest of the London crowd and went shopping at Primark(Really really cheep clothing store) I got some great long sleeve shirts and a hoody, and Conor got a really nice winter trench coat type thing. That night I parked the van next to the river and we did our now standard dinner and drinks but this time we also watched a movie on one of the laptops lol. Then we walked the 20meters to the club(what a great parking) we went through 2 or 3 bar’s/clubs before we found a really good one and settled in for some good drinking and dancing. That night I tested the air mattress and it worked really well till I ended up sleeping on the cold ground in the early hours. Oh well, after a van cooked pancake breakfast;-p we headed to the castle and had a look around then went up the 99 steps to the top of a tower to see the view of the rest of the
town. That afternoon we saw a film crew making a scene for a new move trilogy thing based in oxford😊
Week 4 - 20th
2nd week of work nothing overly exciting to report,
Booked a ticked to Valencia(close to where Ryan is going to be working) for the 26th-28th of January return all for only £18 which I thought was great, so I’ll visit Ryan and get to see Spain haha.
On Friday we were planning to head to Bournemouth right after work at 6.30 unfortunately I only finished work at 6 and picked up an amp(off ebay;-) for the van, then got incredibly waylaid by the dam trains getting canceled and me getting a train heading on the wrong direction woops haha
Bournemouth - Finally on the way, was a pretty good drive after we had escaped London, we arrived at about 12 at Bournemouth University and Amy’s residence, so we had a couple drinks with Amy and her flat mates then headed to sleep. Waking up a bit earlier than everyone else I installed the new amp and tested out my ingenious system, IPod to amp no need for a radio lol. After a failed pancake

old thatch house breakfast, due to the vans fridge not being turned on the ready-made batter going a tad off! We headed to a broken down castle about 5 miles away, in search of old housed for an assignment Amy was working on. We had lunch in a really nice pub near the castle with a low ceiling and cozy atmosphere. We ended up finding a great little country road and trekking across open fields reminded me a lot of my time in California! After that we headed to the other side of the town in search of more old buildings and interesting places, on the way back I got a call from Marilou(An old friend from SA) who I had found on MySpace through Ashna (another friend now living in the states) is a really small world! She was celebrating her birthday so I arranged to head over to her place with everyone that evening. After a soggy pizza for diner, there oven was rather abysmal and a movie(garden state) we headed off in search of Marilou‘s place. After a few wrong turns and a grumpy neighbor threatening to tow the van we arrived. They (she married a 35yro Brit;-p) have a

We had a couple drinks there then headed to a club just down the road, after a while Conor, Amy and I headed off to meet up with some of the guys from the flat. As usual in Bournemouth we ended up at the Outback(Aussie bar) for the rest of the night. Waking up at a staggering 13.30 we had lunch then hugging good by to Amy and the rest of the flat mates, and headed for the big smoke.
