Salisbury is a town in the southwest of England. It is a quaint town, known for its very old and beautiful church (where the Magna Carta is now housed). Ashley, Jane, Cait, and I walked around the town the first night, saw the church, and met a new friend from Oxford. We had our first pub experience when rain unexpectedly came pouring down and we took refuge in a tiny, hole-in-the-wall pub. As Cait had explained earlier, what distinguishes a pub from a bar is the presence of dogs Cait did not lie, as many dogs roamed around the pub, and one even jump up to the bar in search of drink. As also would be expected of a pub, a old, drunk man with two missing fingers showed us photos of naked ladies on his cell phone.

Following a delicious dinner, at which I had the best gourmet hamburger I have ever eaten, we had a much needed night of rest at Lottieā€™s house. Her family showed us such kindness and hospitality, leaving us tour books, towels, and tea.
