Faversham was a brilliant place to catsit as we were close to many villages to explore on foot and luckily for us all had old historic pubs for us to quench our thirst at the end of the trail!
We are now settled in our last catsit in Amesbury just north of Salisbury and within walking distance of Stonehenge. We have been there previously but will go again before we leave as the site just has this amazing feeling of mystery and intrigue. At the moment the UK is having yet another mini heatwave and far too hot to walk out in the midday sun! We played lawn bowls at the local club today and it was stopped at 12.30pm because of the heat. It reminds me of when we lived in Darwin!
Rugby World cup starts tomorrow and as it is being televised we will be able watch the matches at convenient hours being in the northern hemisphere for a change πŸ˜€.
We have lost count on how many old historical pubs and houses that we have been in. We have also hiked around quaint villages and beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
We are not looking forward to the long flight to Kuala Lumpur and then the next leg on to Auckland but it can't be avoided so it is what it is.
So, this is over and out until our next adventure! Hope you have enjoyed our posts.

Woodhenge.

WOODHENGE Woodhenge is a Neolithic timber monument built in about 2500 BC, around the same time as Stonehenge, and only 2 miles away to the north-east. It was formed of six concentric ovals of standing posts, surrounded by a bank and ditch, which were built to align with the summer solstice sunrise. The site was discovered by aerial photography in 1925 and excavated in 1926–7 by Ben and Maud Cunnington, who marked the positions of the wooden posts with concrete pillars for visitors.

Home to NZ
Always good to hear from you Dawn as it would seem a lot of friends and family read our blog but not too many leave comments like you. We really appreciate it as it gives me encouragement to continue as I sometimes think that I may be boring everyone when I get no response!😊 Thank you.

A Couple of Questions
Suzanne and Pete, I looks like you are having or had a great trip. You and Pete have had so many trip. My first question is how does the Africa trip rate among all your trips? I am assuming it must be in your top five, since you met on that trip and that was probably a plus. My second question is did you get the earring that I mailed to your brother Geoffrey in England? Take care, Dave
