Some funny things happen when you are all traveling on low budget, and from and to the same place.
Jen, Ellie, Sarah, Monica and me ended up in the same coach from Manchester to Birmingham, which was obviously a lot of fun. Unfortunately I got sick a few days before the UK dates, and i was not fully recovered, but i got a bit better after a red bull and a great gas station which offered a hand job for only 5 pounds. And THAT'S why i love the UK so much.
The travel from Manchester to Birmingham was pretty much fun, the toilet was rather small, but fresh aired, thanks to the little hole in the floor, and the laughs were great,
I think i even slept for a short while.
When we got out of the coach in Birmingham it was windy and freezing cold, so yet again, we took a taxi to the hotel, which appeared to be a nice and cozy Ibis hotel.
We were supposed to stay here for two days, so every bit of comfort was welcome. we went into the room for some rest, and both fell asleep for a short while.
Completely refreshed we went into town, (China town, to be sure)
Monica and I were discussing a matching tattoo for a few days now, and when we found a tattoo shop, we did not hestitate even a moment, and went to Jake's tattoo shop, and came out with Gratitute on our ankle for only 30 pounds each.
It was not really well thought, but straight from the heart, it's actually all our thoughts in only one word.
We contacted the girls if they were up for a drink and they were, as soon as they got there. Finally I got to meet Mich, and she was nothing like i expected her to be.. she's even better.
Went to a nice bar, ordered some food and some (?!) Drinks and did the happy dance outside on the streets. Even while NOT drunk, we still look like drunks, just because we can..
Pete, Alan, Marty, Dave, Eddie(Yeah, i keep that one in mind) ... Harold loves you deeply
Quite the early night tonight, and up fresh again, the next morning.
Monica wanted to go shopping at the Bullring, and as my RL friends know, i mostly do my
shopping online, because I am not the kind of girl that actually likes shopping in a crowded mall.
But i had fun non the less, and after a Starbucks my day was even better.
Still haven't found out where the venue was, but details are for suckers, and we went to the hotelroom to wait for Candace. (Aka George) and Sarah, to get all ready for the concert.
We found the venue, and a nice Irish pub nearby, of course I forgot my zookeepers pass and had to walk all the way back to the hotel.
According to Candace and Sarah, the food at the pub was crap, so i bought some pringles, so I would not faint.
It was a big meet up in The Dubliner, and most of the girls there had a meet & greet, Only Jo, Monica and Me stayed behind for some more drinks. and then it was time to head over to the HMV, zookeepers were lucky again to be allowed to stand inside waiting.
I quite much needed to pee, and i wasn't the only one, After asking Bauer, if we could pee, he promised us yes, after the M&G's.
He allowed us in and we stumbled inside. Of cours Bauer couldn't embaress us more by saying "The Potty group, follow me" It wasn't that bad, if the band wasn't standing behind him.
We had to wait outside again for a moment, before getting our early entrance.
Great place in front of the stage, (I wonder why I kept ending up near the keyboard all the time.)
I did not feel like taking pictures very much, I just wanted to enjoy the show (So, sorry for the lack of pictures of the Birmingham show, you know you love me.)
I might as well just blame it on Jackson anyway.
The show was most amazing, as all other shows were, Even tho Amsterdam was still the best so far. I missed my Monkey ladies who were standing all at the back of the venue, but I had some awesome people around me as usual (though i can't really remember who i was standing with)
The show ended WAY too soon, but we still had the signings to look forward too, the whole gang stood at the end waiting to get into the signings, (of course without beers again...gotta love the UK.)
Signings were fun again, little chit chat, as usual, and making a fool out of myself...as usual.
Cheered "HI Candace" to Ben.G, (but only because he was wearing Candace' button) and he cheered "Hi Harold" to me in a high pitched voice, (After i explained that my name was not HARDD but HAROLD.. nice handwriting i've got)
Birmingham was amazing, and i loved to meet my English Junkies.
Again: Pete, Alan, Dave, George, Bert, Marty, Amanduh, Eddie, Bob, and anyone else with a male name that I forgot.. i love you...Thanks for the Awesome time!
GRATITUDE!
