We woke up really late this morning, so I knew that we probably weren't going to see as much as I wanted to.

First, we went to Framlingham Castle. That was a really cool castle to visit. When you first enter the castle grounds, you see a few different lawn games you can play. There was even lawn chess. If we had more time and if it wasn't raining, I would have wanted to try it out. A free audio guide came with it, so we decided to get it. There were 2 audio choices for each view point, and 1 of the choices was for kids and was very funny. We always chose to listen to that one. At the castle, you got to do a wall walk, where you get to walk the entire perimeter of the castle on the top of it's walls. There were funny shaped chimneys on the top of each tower, and they were all different. After going on the wall walk, there was a museum filled with various things from the time of the castle. On the way out of the museum, I noticed a scavenger hunt sheet where you try to find various symbols on the objects in the museum. There was also an area that gave the history of the castle. One exhibit was tailored for kids and showed the differences in food that the royalty and the paupers would eat. There were round pices of paper and rubbing crayons so you could color a plate of food. I had to make my own plate. After we turned in our audio guides, Joey and I walked around the outside of the castle. At one point we had to go through the moat. Thankfully, it was a dry moat. 😊

Our next stop was Orford Castle, which is on the coast. That castle looks like one big tower now. They had a free audio guide here as well. We got to go through every room in the castle. The room that they slept in were very small. We even saw the latrines they used. When were up on the roof, we were able to see the ocean.

By the time we left, it was getting late, so we had to skip the fort that we wanted to visit. Joey actually drove to our next stop, which was St. John's Abbey Gate. It ended up just being a gatehouse, so we just took a picture of it and left. Joey drove home as well. He did really well. I had some problems navigating the double roundabouts, but we eventually reached our destinations.
