We had planned, 2nd attempt, to visit Corsica this trip. We have changed our minds. We are allowed to, its our holiday.

So instead we are going to the South of France via Italy. Much simpler, more relaxing.

We seem to have had a busy time this last 2 months, since we returned from our June trip to France. Had hoped to get the work done on the front garden which we have arranged but that is now deferred until we get back from this trip. The work on the house itself is completed though. All the old part has been repointed. A messy, noisy job but all now finished and hopefully by the end of the year, the front garden will be all sorted out too, to make it easy to maintain,.

We have enjoyed some pretty nice weather for our 2 month English summer at home. The garden has been glorious, the hedgehogs visit every night, there is a constant sound of bird song and all in all it's been a lovely sunny summer.

Now we're all ready to prolong the summer by heading south. Time enough when we get home for cooler days.

My glass making is on hold for a few weeks but I've been busily building up my stocks ready for the usual expected pre-Christmas rush, which for the past 3 years has started the day we got home.

So Tandy packed and ready to go, Bob has been very busy sorting everything out. All tidied up, garden, hedghogs, fish and birds fed and watered.

Off we go tomorrow via the Chunnel to Chateau Gandspette near Calais.
