Peak District

Our first night on our Great British Road Trip was in a little place called Ringinglow, just on the border of the Peak District National Park. We ventured off for a ramble in the rolling hills and sheep-filled valleys. It was so picturesque that Jo's camera decided that it was all too much and went flat.

The next day, with fully charged camera at the ready, we went back to take some snaps.

Driving through the Peak District, we were amazed by the sparse and rugged landscape, dotted with some really charming English stone villages.

Though correctly speaking, it's not - nor was - a castle. Just an impressively built 'administration office' for the region.

Thanks to Jo, I was also able to get an amazing parking spot!
