Hi to everyone - well, this is our first entry and we have not yet left the country! Still sorting out bits and pieces, getting our act together and enjoying some time exploring Shropshire. For those of you who haven't been, it really is beautiful and well worth a holiday. Some interesting things we have found out so far:

Credit Card - Nationwide are the only people who have a credit card that does not cost you money to use abroad - therefore no foreign transactions charges.

Bank Account - Barclays Connect account is the only bank who have agreements with banks in other countries and do not therefore charge you any costs to withdraw cash from cash machines. Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, America, Canada and a few others.

Thomas Cook now have a new American Express Travellers Cheque Card which basically you put money on to and then use like a debit card until it runs out, negating the neccessity for travellers cheques.

Just a few interesting facts that you may find useful when travelling!!

G'day! Glad to hear you had a lovely time in Singapore in the end, despite the hot and sticky weather. So. apart from Yorkshire, you're now in the our 2nd favourite place in the world, the might Oz!
