Hey everyone,

Well we made it to the UK about 8:00pm on the 17th march, the flight was a walk in the park compared to the trip to Dubai, we walked through customs with no worries waving our british passports, grabbed our bags, walked out to arrivals and were met with Don and Gail straight away, we then drove on to their home in Combe, Witney, and had a glass on champagne to celebrate, what a great start to an OE!

This morning I woke up, and had a look out the window, and I could see the village and horses in the feild by the house, how nice 😊

Today we travelled the countryside to see Stonehenge, I loved the drive through the villages and towns, its definately different here from NZ.

Stonehenge was quite neat to see, you really cant comprehend how old it is.

We then travelled to Salisbury, walked through the town, which I loved, the Avon flows through the middle of the town and there are white swans and daffidols. We checked out Salisbury Cathredal which was awesome, the detail and architecture is amazing. Later we travelled to Avesbury to see the Avesbury stones, so its was a day of looking at old stones, but I didnt mind at all, it was great to see the countryside.

So its been a great first day here in the UK, couldnt ask for more, pretty whacked now, off to bed, tomorrow its a 3 mile walk through the village, through Blenheim palace to Woodstock and a pub lunch, not too bad!! talk soon 😊
