Remembering our loss...4 February 2008

Today, Steve and I are full of immense sadness, as today would have been the day our precious baby would have come into the world. We have marked the occasion by lighting a candle to remember our loss, but it also represents a guiding light towards the future.

I lie on the sofa as I watch our candle flicker
Shining so bright, with a beautiful glow
It is lit in memory of a baby we lost
It is lit in memory of a love we lost
As the candle light sways in its own happy dance
We will always remember the baby we lost.

As our love grows ever more, we take comfort from one of our wedding readings
'Now you will feel no rain, for each of you will be shelter for each other.
Now you will feel no cold, for each of you will be the warmth for each other.'
And we always remember the phrase that, 'love conquers all.'
