Day 51 - Thursday, November 1, 2007
We started our day with another tour, this one a bit more involved then us sitting on a bus but really they just made us get off the bus for a second to wake everyone up… Now when I thought Liverpool was being redeveloped and modern buildings were coming up everywhere, I hadn’t seen Manchester! It seems every building was either really old with huge history or brand new and very modern! We ate lunch in a newer area near the Lowry Outlet which was very modern and posh. Then headed over to Old Trafford, which is the most liked stadium in the UK and also home to the infamous Manchester United Football Club (where ‘Becks,’ as Beckham is called in the UK, got his start). We took a tour of it but I didn’t find it too impressive. I thought the City of Manchester Stadium which we passed on the tour was much more interesting. After that the ride home was LONG. 5 hours long to be exact. What is it about traveling that makes you so tired anyways?
