With plans to spend chunks of my travelling time in Australia/New Zealand, seemed like a good idea to attend Australia Day celebrations at Walkabout Manchester for some 'authentic Aussie fun'! Erika has a lot of Oz friends, including Katrina who's heading back Down Under in a couple of weeks, so seemed an appropriate reason to party (do we need one?!)... you can see there's plenty of Australian flags, and Fosters hats flying around... and lots of "authentic" beer/cocktails, etc. (authentically British... some Fosters is certainly brewed on Princess Parkway in Manchester, not far from the Walkabout!)!

Was a great time, bit of dancing, and met up with Simon again - we'd been friends in Winchester many years, and many night's out were had there too! We're now, of course, that little bit older and wiser (if you believe that...!)... well, Simon certainly is - he wanted to go home from about 9.30pm (or was it earlier?!) ... but we'll just blame that on having a new job!
