01 Abbey

Today is the middle of mid-term break and I'm sad to say that I'm spending this week in London. Haven't really felt motivated enough to travel any further, so today I did the touristy thing and checked out Westminster Abbey. It is across the road from the Houses of Parliament, also very near Buckingham Palace. It has been a place of worship for over 1000 years. After paying £10 to enter, I was expecting to be able to take a few photos, but no such luck. It is huge inside, so much to look at and take in. Highlights included the coronation chair that was first used late in the 13th century and is still being used today, lots of little chapels and many kings and queens are buried here.
