It was during the 2003 heat wave, so most decisions were about getting shade or air con, including leaving during the second half of Richard III at the Globe Theatre where the umbrella men were selling paper hats, instead, to the groundlings, before heading to Westminster Chapel and so on, but I was too cheap to go to the Tower of London and some other sites, so I'll undoubtedly return someday to enjoy it all more and still probably just force down fish and chips once and then eat the wonderful Indian food the rest of the time.
