Buckingham Palace
I'm obsessed with the Royal Family We went to breakfast and got ready for the walking tour. We saw Kevin and he told us Finn couldn't come because she was sick. I was honestly heartbroken, like why Finn? Then we saw her and I was like, okay I guess she really is sick and shouldn't be walking around. It was still sad to leave her though.
The walking tour was guided by a man who had grown up and lived in London. I actually do not know his name so clearly that was irrelevant to him guiding us around. He was really good though and he took us to all of the major London places. We got to walk by Buckingham Palace and it was crazy to see up-close the balcony that William and Kate waved at and stood at when they got married. We also walked by buildings that belonged to King Henry VIII's wives and their friends. It was fascinating because I love that sort of history. There were giant statues of lions so of course all 11 of us got up and took a picture with the lion. It's such a cute picture. We walked by a beautiful body of water with black

This place is gorgeous and white and grey swans. Then we walked by Big Ben. When I was younger I always thought Big Ben was a double-decker bus because every single picture I had ever seen was Big Ben but there was a double-decker in front of it. It was embarrassingly too long until I found out the truth. We ended our tour at The Tower of London were King Henry VIII had his wives executed and were the Crown Jewels are stored. It wasn't as cool as I thought it would be, but it was interesting to put a place to something I have been reading about for years.
Erin and I decided we wanted to do London Bridge. We got to walk up to the top and in between the towers. There was even a spot where the floor was glass and you could see down into the water. It was terrifying and amazing all at the same time. After we got down from there we walked to the replica of Shakespeare's Globe. As an English major and a complete and utter nerd I couldn't help but love it. However, we couldn't get in for a tour because they have shows
King Henry VIII
This is the site of many executions demanded by King Henry VIII on at night so tours are only from 9am-11am. I was so disappointed, but we did get to see it still so it was better than nothing. It took us forever to get back and we actually managed to ride to tube correctly. That's a big thing for me since I got lost coming downstairs in a hotel. There is a chipotle in London (BLESS) so of course Erin and I had to get it. It was amazing and perfect in very single way. We then decided to go to some touristy souvenir shops. That was all well and good until we decided to come back. Yes, we got lost. Hopelessly lost. It was so bad like we were five minutes away from the hotel and we ended up taking like forty minutes to get back. How did we do that? I do not know.
We got back to the hotel with just enough time to freshen up and get ready to go out. We were going to go to the ice bar! Eight of us went in total; Bre, Erin, Mary Cate, Emily, Shannon, Matt, Bailey (his roommate) and myself. Of course the guys took the longest to

Kevin made us take a picture with the lion get ready (typical.) It was so much fun though. We got to the ice bar at 9:30pm and of course we didn't think you'd need reservations. Well we did. The only time we could go in was at 12:30am. Normally I would have been like absolutely not that's too late. But being in London, we said "hell yes!" Now we just had three hours to kill. That's really not that hard when you're in London with pubs all around. We had a great night and ended up in one pub and then a nightclub/pub. It was so much fun. Before we knew it it was 12:30am and it was time to go back to the bar. We got in and they put hooded capes around us with gloves. Inside the bar was spectacular. Everything, I mean everything, was made out of ice. We got complimentary drinks and even the cups were made out of ice. It was freezing, but so much fun to be in a place like that. We left around 1:10am because it was closing. It took us until about 2:00am to get home and by then I was exhausted. I passed out and was up at 8:30am
