Sofitel, Heathrow

Well we've reached the starting point for our holiday...the very new hotel adjoining Terminal 5. We had a relatively easy train journey down - luckily we got on early in the route so had seats...3 extra carriages had to be added at Oxford for all those standing. The Paddington line was very popular today as there is ongoing engineeting work around Kings Cross. Still only half a dozen of us took the air/rail coach connection to Heathrow. I had expected more as the Paddington Heathrow express is not running. Off to explore the hotel now.
