Packing not due to start until the last minute
Well after 5 years in the UK, the time has for a change of scene. I'm moving back home to NZ and Sams taking a sabatical from work. In the meantime we're planning to have a look around the States and South America for a few months. As we are both pretty slack on the email front, we thought this blog could be a good to keep in touch and post a few photos of what we're up to.

So hopefully between us we managed to keep it updated and if Sam manages to take more than one token photo per place we can put them up as well.

Our departure date is rapidly approaching and being the highly organised people types we are, everything is under tight control - we only need to book flights, sort out where we're going, check if we need any visas and basically organise everything and then we're off!!!

After a planning meeting and several pints of guiness at the George & Dragon in Bedford a few weeks ago El Plan was hatched. As plans go, its a pretty good one, it needs to be fleshed out a wee bit more, but the idea is there and we have 40 odd days to sort everything else out.

So whats the Plan?
So far the plan consists of flying London to LA on 7th of July, a road trip in the States for a few weeks visitng a couple of old flatmates in California, then make our way south from there to Mexico and eventually wind up in Santiago, Chile a few months later. I'm going to be moving back home to NZ from there, but Sam has a RTW ticket so will be heading back to the UK via China.
