So today was our first day of class. Our trek to class started today at 8:45am (3:45am for US) the building our class is in is kind of far away. We got the low-down on our class schedule, it looks like our class is going to be pretty intense. There really wont be any time for slacking off. Its a good thing we only usually have class in the morning so we have time to work on our projects in the afternoon. We had to pick a theme for our projects in London and I decided that I am going to focus on couples around London. I still have to think through the idea and get a clearer point of view and decide what I am trying to convey. Class got out at noon and Prof. B. walked us over to the British Museum and left us there, kind of like he is testing us by leaving us places on our own. The museum was amazing, I will definately be going back. I really enjoyed two of the pictures I took; one of a little girl looking at an exhibit and another of a girl drawing on the floor. In

the afternoon the whole class met up with Prof. B. to go to Brick Lane. Brick Lane is a Bangladesh inspired city place. It was really neat, we went to see graduate students photography work. Some of it was really neat, others...not so much. After looking at the exhibit and having a mini class in the gallery we were let loose upon the city and again left there by Prof. B. to find our own way home. Ellen, Bryna and I roamed the streets and got some Indian sweets and Indian scarves. It was really neat. For dinner we went to another pub and shared two platters of food and some raspberry juice. It was pretty tasty. Anyways, tomorrow is our first guest speaker and he is going to talk to us about lighting and seeing rather than just mindlessly taking pictures. It should be pretty interesting.
