This is the view of the back of what was mum and dad's house. It has now been sold to a colleague of mine.
Hi everyone,

In case you are not sure why you have recieved this, it is because I am about to head off for England tomorrow (boxing day). I have set up this travel blog so that, hopefully, I can keep you up to date on how the trip is going and maybe share some of the places I go with you. Some of you will be familiar with the people and places as you will have been there yourselves. The photos I have put in are a practice and some of you might not have seen them before. Only Christmas day to get through and then I'm off. I am going to mainly visit family that I have never met before and some I have met and not seen for a long time.

I am putting some photos in that may be of interest to people I am going to visit. Hope you all had a great Christmas and enjoy a happy new year.

Rowena

When we sold mum & dad's house we had to put a fence down the boundary. Here are Roger and Roger (the neighbour) working on the fence.

Every year there is a celebrity boxing match where well known males get together for a boxing competition. Corporate firms buy ringside tables at horrendous prices for which they get a three course meal and see the boxing close-up. One of Roger's firms suppliers invited him to go this year and as you can see they have to wear a tux.

As a spare time activity we have a little business hiring blokarts. These are little land yachts and are great fun. This is a photo of all the cars on the sideline with some blokarts being rigged ready for racing

Another little sideline we have is making raised bed gardens. This is a corner garden and is one of the earlier models. We tried this one to see if we could go around the corner but it was quite difficult

Here is a photo of the gardens being put in. They are basically a box which sits on top of the lawn. This one is ready for filling with compost. Again it is one of the old style which has since been improved.

This is a view of the new style of garden which we now make. As you can see it has aluminium corners and is much faster to make. We also think it looks much more stylish.

This is the back boundary of our property. This is looking out from our lounge window, past the raised gardens. We planted over 100 pittosporums along this boundary. They are a native of New Zealand and we have several varieties in the hedge.

This is up in the right hand end on the back boundary. The bins are compost bins with the incinerator besdie them. They are handy to the house but not actually in line of site.

We put this garden in under the laundry and one of the spare bedrooms as we wanted an easy care garden with nothing to do to it. We hope that with the raised gardens and the pebble gardens we will not have much work to do, which will leave more time for blokarting.
