Question" "What types of music are popular in England?"

Article: http://www.england.org.za/england-music.php#.UkTJWyko74g

Recently, I've read an article entitled "England's Music". In this article, I learned that the UK has always had a very broad selection of music, especially in one of its larger cities- London. London is one of the most multicultural rich and diverse cities in the world, so it's not a surprise that it has so many genres of music within it. Some of England's most popular genres include rock, classical, folk, and even some religious music. One of its more popular types would be rock music. From this type of music, there have been many well known artists/bands to come from it. A few being The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Oasis, The Beatles, and Robbie Williams. Another popular type of music is mainstream/pop music. There have been many successful, well known artists that are not only big in England but also other countries. A few of these artists include Adele, Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and many more.

From reading this article and other resources, I've learned that in England there are many types of music. Even though some may not be as popular as others, there all as equally important to the country's culture. Over the years, England's music types have become broader as the country has become more diverse. England has accumulated much over the years in terms of music types, and has also been successful in creating popular artists/groups. England also shares a lot of music that is popular here in the United States, as well as other countries all over the world.
