Big BenBig BenBig Ben

But which is the true Big Ben?
So, here i am. Sitting in an internet cafe across the road from Trafalgar Square. Got half an hour to kill before i meet with Scott, so what better way to kill it then let you all know what i've been up to.
Yesterday i visited 3 museums (all free!) and went for a walk through Hyde Park. Victoria and Albert Museum was first (got the artsy one out of the way) which had some good exhibitions on metalwork and stained glass. Next was the Natural History Museum - your classic history museum full of gigantic dinosaur fossils and life size animals models (including a full size blue whale). Last of all was the Science Museum, which was probably my favourite. Five storeys of various fields of science from space travel, to spy gear, to mathematics. My highlight would probably be the section they had on Mobius strips and Klein bottles (photos to come.)

After i got back to the hostel, i went to the supermarket, bought a bucket of microwavable fried rice and a packet of cookies for dinner - well if no one is around to tell me to eat my vegies then why should i?! I was
Tower Bridge
planning to go to the hostel bar after i cooked up the rice, but decided to lie down for a half hour or so. Next thing i know it's morning - ya can't blame me though, i only had a few half hour sleeps on the flight here! Had a "refreshing" (no hot water) shower - can't complain seeing as though it was the cheapest hostel i could find.

Then made my way to central london, where i spent a couple hours searching for a relatively cheap hostel that isn't completely booked out. Managed to find one called the Generator. Massive hostel, couple of train stops out of central London. Sleeps 800 people! It labels itself as THE party hostel, so it should be an interesting night. I've also seen a couple people walking around with shirts that read - "i survived the Generator".
And that brings me to now, about to meet up with Scotty.
Well, i killed that half hour good.
Until next time, see ya later.
