Well, today was weird. We had planned a boat trip along the river and when we went to get on the Underground to get there it was PACKED. As it was a Saturday we thought it might be the norm. NO, it was a huge protest rally. The news said there was over 250,000 people walking through the streets protesting wage and benefit cuts. So we stopped and watched for awhile. It was history in the making. It was really cool that that many people worked together to be heard.
Finally we had to get something to drink and use the loo so we took off the opposite way. We walked along the river for awhile and found the Globe theater. Its so cool. Much like they think it was 500 years ago when Shakespeare was alive. Emily got to participate in a demonstration about how the clothes were put on and worn back in those days. It gave her a greater appreciation for jeans and t-shirts!
We got home a little early tonight so we can get up early and go see the changing of the guard tomorrow morning. I am really looking forward to that.
Off to bed.

Getting to see a protest march of this size was a very interesting thing. Hey it was a real experience for Emily to get to try on clothes worn by actors in the Globe. This should be a fun thing to write for the report to her class. Dad
