Eject Thursday 16th JulyOur First Entry.
After a difficult start to the year, Andrea and I decided that if either one of us was made redundant, we would take a year out and go and see the world, something we had both wanted to do for some time.
As it turned out it was me that got the push in April and so we started to plan....
We have now bought our six main air tickets and will be away from home for 8 months...
Tuesday 1st September 2009 - London to Lima via Madrid
Tuesday 1st December 2009 - Santiago to Auckland
Tuesday 22nd December 2009 - Christchurch to Sydney
Tuesday 19th January 2010 - Perth to Singapore
Tuesday 31st March 2010 - Bangkok to Hong Kong
Tuesday 13th April 2010 - Shanghai to London
We have found someone we know to rent the flat whilst we are away which is a big relief.
As our leaving date gets closer and it becomes more and more real, we both seem to swing between very excited and scared stiff.
Lots still to do, buying rucksacs and boots, getting injections etc. but things seem to be on track
And looking good
