Gday all

Been verrry busy. No blogs till now - and we are almost on our way home.

London has been OK - but just a bit busy for us and our frame of mind. Havent stopped still tho and plenty to share on our return. Our 8 days in London was interspersed with 7 in Pulbourough in the 'Southern Downs'. In our 6 walking days there we dished out around 140 kms in a sterling effort. Through small and large villages, tracks, creeks, cliff tops(white!) and some very unusual 'footpaths'.

It was however thoroughly enjoyable but tiring. Most days we managed to sleep on the bus on the way back to the 'house'.

On our day off we went to Brighton on the beach (such as it is) and that is a very funky town. Also enjoyable.

In London we have completely mastered the underground and the trip advisor app is a wonder. Fabulous as it takes you from station to station and maps your every move. Sights checked off the list include Buck palace (changing Guards - hilarious) Tower of London (DGI - Didnt go in - too expensive) Tower bridge St Katherines wharf, London Museum St Pauls DGI, Trafalgar square, Leicester Square, Piccadilly circus, Westminster abbey DGI, Green Park, St James' Park, Hyde Park , Regent Park, Chinatown, the West End, Carnaby Street, South Bank, Tait Museum, The London Eye DGI, Lords DGI, Portabello Rd, and so on. Outside London we visited Windsor including the castle, Bath, Stone Henge, Oxford, and Woodstock in the Cotswolds, and Blenheim Palace DGI.

In all, we didnt stop and couldnt fit another thing in.

I have limited bandwidth here so no piccies today. Will make amends on our return.

Meantime, we are off to Brussels tomorrow for an overnight and we fly out tuesday afternoon.

Thats it folks from two very happy but tired travellers.

Will touch base with you all upon our return,

Chris and Ian
