Kath, her brother David and their French flatmate Emelie and myself all went to Brighton on Saturday. It was great fun but it got off to a bit of a rocky start.

We missed the train we had bought tickets for but luckily the guys at the station were cool about it and let us go on the next one without having to buy a new ticket. The trip down there was pretty quick, less than an hour.

When we got there we made our way down to the seaside. The town was much bigger than I thought it would be. Down at the beach (which had pebbles instead of sand) we made our way to Brighton Pier.

The Pier was really cool, it's set up as a fair/carnival thing with all those games like the Clowns etc, as well as having heaps of rides as well. I wasn't expecting that at all. Unfortunately though the rides were a fortune so I didn't go on any.

We basically spent the day wandering around Brighton, along the beach and through the streets. The weather was absolutely perfect for us and at the end of the day it turned out that all of us had got burnt, Kath got burnt pretty badly. :-(

We didn't get back home till about 7 and we were planning to go out but ended up playing some poker at home instead, which was just as much fun.
