2nd July. The sky is so blue! No lesson today!
We had a fantastic trip to Portland, Weymouth and Lulworth Cove. We enjoyed a wonderful view of Chesil beach from a statue in memory of the glorious dead during the World War I & II. The limestone of Portland Island is famous for its use in British and world architecture like St Paul's Cathedral. Weymouth is a seaside town which is famous for its tourism. We had around an hour strolling down the streets there. Lulworth Cove is a cove near the village of West Lulworth. The landscape features limestone folding caused by movements in the Earth's crust millions of years ago, we enjoyed a leisure walk along the coast path. We also saw Durdle Door, a natural arch. In 2001, the coast was granted World Heritage Site status by UNESCO.
