Mighty Blighty
Having spent four months tear arsing around we were both ready to hit the UK, empty our ruck sacks and " cool out guy "! The prospect of spending time with family and good friends was very inviting and I have to say I was somewhat excited on touching down in Blighty having not seen my nearest and dearest for close to two years! Of course, I was also excited at the prospect of introducing and showing off my lovely little lady to my family, friends, neighbours, friends of friends, pets, the post man, milk man and anybody else I have come into contact with. I have to say that I was a very chuffed man during these meetings and well done to YT for meeting EVERYBODY and smiling the whole of the time!
We spent some QT with the fam at home (Mum & Dave´s). Ma is a diamond as always and Dave is well and watching plenty of football of course! Pam my sis is looking great and just finished her degree - well done sis. Edward, my very handsome nephew is growing up to be a mighty fine young man. My younger

The Lady Killers!sis Amina has also just finished her degree - well done sis and my Papa (Guiseppe) was on great form and looking well. Great to see you all guys and of course I love you all very much.
We covered some serious ground in Blighty and travelled the length and breadth of the country. We spent our first week in Buxton ( my home town - proud to be a Northerner) which included a day trip to Wales to see my Aunties! Next stop was Edinburgh and Kirsteen, a lovely Scottish lass we met in China! Edinburgh is a very cool city indeed and we wore out our thongs exploring the city. One of the highlights being an underground city tour of old Edinburgh (c15th century)! Thank you Kirsteen for your wonderful hospitality - we loved Edinburgh!
Next we headed to the beautiful Lake District and spent a few days with my pals from home. The boys and girls were all on great form and looking well. It was also the first time we have spent some quality time together and something we both enjoyed very much. We spent the days trekking and hiked to the top of
Helvellyn (the second highest mountain in the UK). A new addition to the "Buxton Brotherhood" is a young man by the name of Harry. Harry is smart, good looking and has a fine appetite for a young man of only 11 months. Great work guys, he is awesome indeed!
I also spent three days in Yorkshire with a travelling circus (Adrian, Daniel and Andrew) - "The Balmain Brotherhood". These boys are the finest of fellows and we spent numerous hours supping lager, talking rubbish and playing golf badly! Great to see you gents, you are all Rock Stars and of course first class chumps!
Whilst I was in Yorkshire, YT headed to London for lunch, dinner and beers with her numerous friends who now reside in the "Big Smoke". Given that I am a POHM and YT is an Aussie, you would expect that I would have more friends in the UK than she. However, as we all know, she is a popular little lady with a network to challenge BT or Optus! Therefore, she/we spent the next two weeks catching up with all her/our friends and we both had a great time indeed. Over to YT for

What a Diamond.....the details......
Well, just a quick one from me, to say that my 2 weeks in London wicked, and I well and truely got the most out of my Rough Guide to London and 25 Pound weekly Oyster pass. During my first week, sans Dom, days and nights were spent with the Chicks over lunch and dinner dates, Faye and a few glasses (or three) of wine in Soho, Pete and the Boots 3 Pound lunch deal in Trafalgar Square, Jimmy and some ethical beer & chinese tucker, and of course Gatland, who provided me a roof and a blow up matress, as well as various adventures out in Old Street (yay for Vietnamese), Brick Lane and who could forget sunny SheBu. It was soo great to spend quality time with a lot of friends during that first week in London and I really appreciated being able to pick up where we left off....the next Magnus will be on me OK!
Anyway, back over to Dom for our last week in London... We spent our last week in London with my brother (our kid) and his little lady, Leanne (aka Dr Quinn the Medicine Woman). My
experience of ladies from Wales or " The Valleys " is only good hey Mum, Quinnie! It was great to see our Kid and of course we talked football and supped bitter into the night. We also had a trip to Brighton in a very flash motor (Audi TT) which was a very pleasant change from our current form of transport - the public bus.
Of course, time spent with friends is a great excuse for a party and what more reasn do we need than YT turning 30. My personal view is that Miss Templar looks great and doesn´t look a day over 21 of course! The venue was Soho, the bar was packed and the crowd was ready to rock! We partied into the night and a great time was had by all. YT.............
Oh, OK, back to me again! Yes, well, not only was I the luckiest girl in the world spending my 30th in Zanzibar, but the icing on the cake came when we got everyone together for a few beers and a boogie in Soho for a belated celebration. Well, who needs an excuse for a party anyway!!
The venue was
Friday Drinks in Soho
Gatland, Ah Toy, Dom, Yvette & Marnietres groovy (thanks to Beges for your work as on-the-ground party venue scout!) and it was just soo great to see so many wonderful friends all together. Special props to Marnie and Ah Toy for making it, given they came via Australia and Germany respectively!! Anyway, I had a great night, which ended as it should´ve... with some quality dancing to cheesy 80s and 90s tunes... Fame! I Wanna Live Forever!!!...Eat your heart out.. I didn´t feel a day over 15. 😊
So all in all we had a great time in Blighty. The sun shone (most of the time) and the bitter was good. More importantly, we saw our nrearest and dearest in the Northern hemisphere and it really brought home how important all you guys are to us. Keep safe and well guys and we look forward to spending some QT with you all in the future.
Love
