Once again, over Honister Pass towards Keswick, but this time, down a little road towards Stonethwaite.

Parking in a lay-by just before the village, I left the car and walked towards the village, crossing a bridge and joining the Cumbria Way.

Recent rain made the ground extremely sodden though, crossing another footbridge, made Gallen Force somewhat spectacular!

Stopping for a quick coffee under Eagle Crag, I turned off the Cumbria Way and started following Langstrath Beck.

At head, I stopped at Tray Dub for lunch. In the wide, almost barren valley, it proved to be an exception choice as, in the little gorge, I was out of the chilling wind.

Sated, I crossed the footbridge and started the return journey on the other side of the
beck.
