Haunting beauty when the tide is out
The wind is blowing hard. It was blowing hard last night, chilling the room. It was blowing hard on the headlands today while we walked, gusting inland. It was blowing hard yesterday while we walked around the village of St. Ives. Thursday and Friday the guides are altering our walking routes to avoid danger from the wind. And it’s often a cold wind. Today I wore pants over pants and gaiters and a light thermal undershirt, shirt, wool vest, fleece and jacket, plus a hat. At least I was warm!
