Requesting 3 months unpaid leave

So the Two-day Conference at work (that Ive been arranging for the last 9 months) is finally over, and I need a break. A couple of people at the conference have been travelling at some point in their lives and were all very encouranging.
... Am going to see my manager today and ask for 3 months unpaid leave - Ellies going at the end of this year, so thats when I aim to go.
