We're back in Cambridge - wearing extra layers of clothes as it's so cold and we're used to the heat. Our tans are already fading but we have 100s of photos and memories.

That's;
8 countries
18 flights (most backpackers fly less - bus more)
Too many bus journeys - not enough boat trips
36 hotels/B&Bs, 2 rented houses and 2 spare rooms (thanks Gwyn and Kate!)
5 lost pairs of sunglasses
2 lost wallets, 1 recovered - 1 not
1 typhoon
1 flood

Worst bits (not many)

Missing Matthew
Losing stuff
Visa run to Malaysia (again involved a bus)
Hangovers in the heat
Putting on too much weight (but it was enjoyable getting there)

Best bits (lots, too many to mention)

Tubing in Laos
Temples at Angkor Wat in Cambodia
The town of Hoi An in Vietnam
Great Barrier Reef
Chang Mai cooking course
Beach BBQs and fireshows
New Years Eve on Sydney Harbour
Riding Elephants
Watching Matthew loving the surf

It's very strange that it's all over. Anybody thinking about it should do it without hestiation. Dean and I have had the best of times...now it's back to reality. We missed all our friends and family so it is good to be home.

Thanks for keeping in touch!

Lots of Love

Lowri and Dean
