Adam, Jo and I took a day trip out to Windsor.

Our first stop was the Windsor Castle, we arrived just in time to see the changing of the guards. Windsor Castle is approximately 1000 years old, is the largest inhabited castle in the world and one of the principal official residences of the British monarch. The Queen was at the castle on the weekend I was there for her birthday celebrations, unfortunately this meant that the state rooms were closed so we didn't get a chance to see these. A highlight for me was St George's Chapel where most Kings and Queens since George III have been buried; I saw the tombstone of the Queen Mother.

After a few hours exploring the castle we had a walk around the town of Windsor and then found a cute english pub and finished an enjoyable day off with a meal and a few ciders.
