Sagrda Familia Hiiiii. I'm in Switzerland! It's so awesome here, we're in a little town called Interlaken which is surrounded by mountains. We only got here yesterday afternoon and sadly we are leaving tomorrow. Yesterday we didn't do much, we had to get up some ungodly hour in the morning in order to catch a train from Gare De Lyon in Paris to get here. The hostel we're staying in is the nicest we've stayed in so far. We have a 6 bed dorm which we're sharing with one other guy called James. Yesterday afternoon we went for a walk and James swam in the freezing lake, crazy English. At night we spent ages trying to find cheap food eventuallz we found an awesome pizza place. We got pizza for 7 francs! BARGAIN! We also went out that night but unfortunately Interlaken is dead on a Sunday night so we ended up in some hostel where a Blues Band was playing. Today was brilliant, we caught the train to a mountain town called Grindelwald, then caught a cable car halfway up a mountain and went hiking from there. The hike took us between two snow covered mountains and we had a great view

View from Parc Guell of an enormous glacier. We started the hike a bit too late so we couldn't finish it otherwise the last cable car would have left and we would be stuck on the mountain and forced to live inside caves. Tonight we bought oven pizza for dinner and microwaved it. Tomorrow we leave for Munich!
We've been backpacking for a bit more then a week now, so fare we've been to Barcelona and Paris. I didn't get to Barcelona until almost midnight on the 9th cause my plane at stupid Luton airport was delayed. In Barcelona on the first day we met Nina and Nick and spent almost the entire day at the beach. It was around 30 degrees, a huge change from miserable England. On the beach there's heaps of people walking up and down asking if you want massages, cold beer, temporary tattoos, dresses, fruit it's crazy and kind of annoying hearing 'massaaaaaaaaage' in your ear every 2 minutes. Next day we went to Gaudi's Sagrda Familia which is one of the most amazing pieces of architecture i've ever seen even though it's still not finished. We also went to Parc Guell which is at the top of

Sangria and Paella a hill looking over Barcelona and there was an escalator up the hill!!! That night we went out to a club by the water and Alex and I had shots on fire it was awesome. Next day we went to the beach again and just wandered down La Rambla, they have people there selling exotic birds and turtles! Our hostel was pretty good apart from the fact it had NO HOT WATER. On Thursday we caught the train to Paris, we were staying in a hotel (a very cheap one) so we thought maybe it will be nice. How very wrong we were. Carla and I had the better deal I think, we booked double rooms and Megan and Alex's room was on the very top floor, with only a spiral staircase to get up there. Megan broke a floor tile on her way up with the suitcase. They also had a very dodgy stain on their wall which looked like blood or something worse....
On our first night in Paris we went to the Arc de Triomphe and walked down Champs Elysees which was beautiful. Friday we went to the Notre Dame and Megan and I spent 3

Arc de Triomphe euros on going into some crappy roonm which had a few gold things in it because we thought we were paying to go to the top. Then we spent ages waiting in a line to get to the top because we were told it was free for 18 and under. Turns out it's just free for students and seeing as my student card was stolen I had to pay. So we knocked that on the head. We also went to the Pompidou Centre just to have a look at the building, then in the afternoon we went to the Louvre because it's free after 6. Mona Lisa was small and far away, I had to put my glasses on just to see her. Eventually we made our way to the Eiffel Tower and up the top which was fantastic. We couldn't go out at night in Paris it's waaaaaaaaaaay too expensive. On our last day we discovered markets across the road from the hostel and bought lots of food. I bought cheese, FINALLY. I hadn't seen ONE cheese shop in Paris up until then, isn't that crazy? In the afternoon we went to Sacre Coeur and the Moulin Rouge. Sacre

The Louvre Coeur had an amazing view of Paris except down below there's heaps of people trying to sell stuff and they grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go. I had to pull myself away! We went to the Latin Quarter that night and got nice, cheap Greek food. Mmmmmm. Early night that night as we had to get up at a silly hour to get to Switzerland. So that's about it, it's been awesome so far. And it will only get better at OKTOBERFEST in Munich!!! Farewell!
P.s I only have a few photos of Switzerland cause my camera died before I could load them all on.
