Isabelle and Myles are so cute. Isabelle has been saying the following line about various kinds of foods - "I like grapes, only a little bit, not very much, only a little bit." She says this while tilting her head and raising her eyebrows. Ok, maybe only I think that it's cute. Myles on the other hand is our little kisser. He will often be seen randomly walking up to someone and then he will suddenly kiss them. This happened in Nice. We were walking down one of the narrow streets in Vieux Nice and Myles walked up to a lady that was sitting at a restaurant table outside and he kissed her on the arm. Also, today at church, Myles found a little boy about 3 and 4 and kissed him at least 5 times. ... read more

Man it was a good feeling to get back to Avully last night at 9:45 pm. We arrived later than we would have liked because we had another annoyance on our trip. Looking back on our time in France we had a little annoyance, a little problem or a big problem every single day. We did not have one day where all went smoothly. Maybe God is testing our resolve. Anyways, we saw many beautiful things in France, however it was so sweet to see our apartment. We all breathed a sigh of relief. Anyways, Wednesday started out beautifully. We woke up and drove to the home that Paul Cézanne lived in during his painting days. It was a neat place to see and the property was absolutely peaceful. At his house, I felt like one ... read more

On our way out of Geneva, we had two separate visits to the WTO headquarters and the U.N. Both campuses are with 5 minutes of each other and the visits proved to be interesting. As an econ major, the WTO meeting proved to be especially interesting to me. Once getting through security, we met with a Lawyer for the WTO from Ghana in one of the negotiation rooms of which the headquarters is mostly comprised of. It is in these rooms that countries negotiate their different terms of trade and try to work out disputes. He spent a little over an hour with us discussing the purpose and goals of the WTO and the specifics of what went on the headquarters.
