Lucerne By
Kim and ColleenMay 13th 2007Sunday
Went for a tour up to Mount Titlas, a 1000 ft mountain a short drive out of Lucerne, the countryside was spectacular, just like in the postcards.
Colleen was terrified but still came along for the trip.
We went up 4 gondolas to reach the top, the last one was a rotating gondola, it is round and the floor rotates as it goes up.
It was about 1 deg at the top, so it wasn't that cold but the wind was very strong.
The covered bridge is the oldest wooden bridge in the world, dating from about 1400's.
We've got an early start in the morning for an 8 hour drive to Paris.

great to hear from you
Thanks for more beautiful photos. Col, is that the first time you've stood on snow? The scenery reminds me of the Heidi stories. Tony said it's time to retire. Love to you both Roz and Tony.
