At night sometime - Not too much has been going on lately. It is now Friday though! The last few days I've just been going to class which isn't that bad but nothing exciting worth mentioning. I'm taking Italian (thank god) and Consumer Behavior.
Today we took a train to Berne. We switched trains in Luzern and Olten. The train from Olten to Berne was a double-decker, fast and crowded. I sat by a girl from this portion of Switzerland. It's in the German speaking part. She was very friendly and spoke good English. That's probably because she studied in Canada for I want to say two years. We had a nice conversation about absolutely nothing. Upon arriving in Berne we had no idea where to go. We didn't even have a hostel. Thankfully Michelle (I think it was Michelle :/) got directions from an old woman on the train to the info desk at the station. The woman their was very nice. She booked our hostel for us and recommended some restaurants adn clubs to go to although now as you can see, we didn't go. We started going in the direction the girl instructed us to go for

Liz really liked those pretzels! our hostel. We started out in the right direction, but somewhere along the way we ended up going the wrong way for about 15 minutes. We knew we were lost because we didn't see street signs that we recognized. We asked a lady walking by how to go and she showed us that we were off the map and had to go back. So we did and were once more on the right track. We made it to the casino and then got confused again. We passed a pretty building and there was an ice skating rink in front of it. They seems to have lots of those around. They're cute though. Then we figured it out and ended up going the right way for sure. We went down this street ramp thing like in Lugano. I saw a headlight and thought it was a car (which I shouted out to the tribe), but it wasn't. It was a bike, no wait, a 747. LIz made fun of me so bad about that. lol. It was hilarious jst because I'm a retard. Anyway, after going down the hill we found the hostel, Hostel Internacional. It's not bad. I feel really
safe here. They don't have outside dooor knowbs. THe man at the front desk was very nice. He answered a bunch of our questions and even offered to make us reservations at this restaurant/brewery, Atles Tramdepot. He gave us directions to that, but of course we got lost. We crossed a little walkway over a small body of water and assumed it was a bridge, but it was definitely jsut a utility bridge. So we asked an old man how to go and he said he didn't speak very good English. He helped us anyway though. He told us we hadn't even gotten there yet. That was once he saw the map. Prior to that he told us about a lot of restaurants in the general vicinity. He lied to us. He spoke perfect English! He said "here there is a Greek restaurant, a local restaurant, etc..." It was ridiculous. There perception of not speaking good English and ours are completely different. He was nice though. He put us on the right track.
Eventually, we reached our destination. It was very nice. They do family style seating in the German part of Switzerland. They generally have large tables and
Room Shot!
Me, Monica, Stacey and Michelle sit as many people as they can at them. So at a table of 8 you can have up to 4 couples who don't know each other. Anyway, I had a pork sausage with onions and Rösti, which is hashbrowns. It was delicious. I alos had a blonde beer that they brewed. It was much better than Budlight. Hanson was there, not literally, but in spirit via freaky looking Swiss-Germans. Poor Liz had Bahvarian sausages. Never get them . They come in weiner water. She was a champ about it though and didn't complain. I would've, but she's a sweetheart. The waitress was nice too. She split the check and helped us with the menu.
After dinner we passed a bar, Mahogany Hall. A band was playing. We wanted to go, but the door was locked. This woman ran out as we were walking away to tell us we could go in in 10 minutes. I don't know what happened after that. I was on the phone with Dad, but we ended up walking back towards the hostel.
On the way back we passed a sex shop. Very interesting. They have lots of those in Berne. It made
me miss Sarah and Katie and Jessie 😞
