Basel - Euro 2008: NED - RUS

Flew with Ryanair down to Frankfurt, rental car to Basel (400+ km) with one night outside Karlsruhe. Basel was (as you can see from the pictures) totally filled with "oranjefans". Great atmosphere and 30+ degrees celsius and euro 2008, ohhhyah. Too bad there weren't so many Russians in town, wonder how it would've been with GER - NED..

The stadium was filled by approximately 40000 spectators, but for some reason 35000 sat still and shut up for most of the match. The last 5000 were Russians dancing around bear chested. Russians were far better both on and off pitch. I won the tickets thru coke.no (coca-cola), and they turned out to be category 1!

An unforgettable day, and I *hope* that Norway will make it thru the South-Africa '10 qualification!
