Had a bit of a rest day today, up early at 7.30 to return the key for the party cabin, then we took a detour home to see a small chapel up in the mountains near here that was built in the 1700s.
All that old catholic stuff reminds me of South America, I got some great photos.
Managed to skype home and talk to the boys for half an hour, you gonna love this free international home call stuff. It's so clear it amazes me.
After that we went on a long walk up the mountains here and into the forests to forage for mushrooms,
the forests are full of this incredible variety of mushrooms in all shapes and sizes. Pierre is a bit of a expert,
you need to be cause it can be a small difference between two different mushrooms and one is ok but the other a slow lingering death. We found a couple of nice specimens which I later ate.
On the way back we passed a spot on a forest track that was where a roman horse shoe dating from 1550bc was found, it was a track used since Roman times.
Later just before dusk I went on a half hour walk along the tracks to Bad Zurack, it was beautiful, listening to Nick drake on the mp3 player, watching the sunset.
Tommorrow we leave for Germany
You can see some photos of mushrooms here
