The Stockholm archipelago consists of 30,000 islands and fans our 80 km east from Stockholm into the Baltic Sea. From our cruise ship (Celebrity Silhouette we watched amazing views of islands in many different directions. We saw large and small islands with typical Swedish red houses, some small and some huge. This is a place to summer with your boat. You can also island hop by ferry. It is 8:30 at night and the sun is still out. We pass a island that has two large guns, the kind you find on a air craft carrier, they are aimed toward Russia. We saw many small islands with just one house on it. The air is cold and I am glad I brought a down jacket. It is time to explore the ship with has 13 floors open to the public and many more floors for the crew. This is a beautiful ship and we are reminded how much the ships have improved since our honeymoon almost 40 years ago.
