Vasa is a Swedish warship that sank after sailing less than 2 km on her maiden voyage in 1628.

The ship with 64 guns and about 300 soldiers was created to defeat the Polish enemy. The ship itself was salvaged in 1964. At the museum you can see the ship at scale 1:10 and a reconstruction (video) of how they took the ship out of the water and reconstructed it. Apparently it was broken in more than 14000 individual pieces.

The light level -as expected- is low. There are also strict controls on humidity and temperature to protect the ship.

The ship and museum itself is really impressive. When we were there, we participated a guide tour (in English) which was pretty good! There is also a bookshop and a restaurant. Definitely a place to go.
