Following up from my French tip 3 of us housemates decided to fly over for our beloved ex-housemates birthday in her hometown. Getting ready for a trip with friends/housemates to see a mutual friend/ex-housemate is such a nice thing to do. Drove everyone up to Stanstead in thick fog in the early hours then got our Ryanair flight to Veristas, followed by a bus into Stockholm.

After dumping our stuff at our friends apartment we took a ferry out to the archipelago for swimming and sunbathing as we were lucky enough to visit during a heatwave with temperatures actually hitting 30C which is not really what we expected on a Baltic trip. Later on we did the Swedish thing of drinking at home then going out later to save on the high alcohol costs. Enjoyed meeting lots of new friends and it's great how so many Swedish kids learn not just English, but English in a chosen accent!

Next day we got a bit more cultural and toured around the old town and I was able to find the best ice cream in town (local knowledge is always so useful). House party in the evening with chance to meet more lovely locals bu eventually we ended up in a nightclub.

Fond fair wells next day then home to sadly find out we now have a mouse infestation so my Monday off to recover spent buying and setting mousetraps, welcome home!
