Town defences
Lina and father Jan , our host - checking the town defences. Sweden
We travelled from Copenhagen airport by train to Kristianstad to spend time with Janine's host AFS Swedish family. Jan and Boel live in the picturesque village of Osterslov, their house overlooking the lake. We were extremely well looked after and visited a varied range of interesting places in the surrounding area.

Jan, Eliza, David, Boel... his AFS student 'son' 15 years ago. He is now an economics lecturer at the university there (having completed his PhD this year), is married and soon to become a Dad. David then caught the train to Lina's in Stockholm. He was impressed with all the copper roofs in Gothenburg and Stockholm but apparently their abundant copper supplies have been depleted.
David returned to Kristianstad via Hassleholm before leaving for his flight to join Eliza in Cologne.
