i need some idea os what to pack/take on a backpacking holday

im wanting to find out from travellers the items they wished they'd packed for their trip but forgot or items you think would come in usefull while your travelling.

im off on my first backpacking trip overseas and wanted some ideas of useful things that i might not think of straight away. things like sleeping bag liners, jewelery wraps, laundry bag i can think of but wondering if there is anything that is alittle different but very handy when travelling.
