hello everybody!

it's been a while since i've done one of these and i've done a whole lot
since!

first of all i'm not in ireland anymore... i'm on the sunny shores of
spain!!! but since i last emailed you all me and siobhan went to the west of
ireland which was beautiful! although there wasn't a whole lot there... but
we did check out an ireland where they only speak irish, or gaelic, and the
best thing was crough patrick... this giant mountain we climbed... it's
meant to be this huge catholic pilgramage... it was really hard to climb...
i fell on my ass a few times... but when we got to the top it was amazing...
it was all misty and in the clouds and it was really cool!!

after that me and siobhan jetted off to madrid, where quite an adventure
awaited us! we got to the hostel we had booked but not being able to read
the confirmation email they sent to us in spanish we didnt realise that they
give our room away if we're not there by 5, so we got a train and walked all
the way to our hostel only to find out they wouldnt have us, so we asked the
hanus woman at the desk to see if there was room at any of the others and
luckily there was... so off we went on our merry little way with our 15kg
backpacks! we got to the metro station we were told to go to and walked for
soooo long, and it was HOT and our backpacks were heavy and i'd had almost
no food or water so i want feeling the best! but when we FINALLY got to our
hostel it was amazing... only 8 euros and we got our own room AND our own
bathroom... and we later found out that the was a metro station around the
corner... the unpleasant woman at the other place had sent us to the WRONG
station.. grrrr

anyway... the next day we hoped on a bus and made our way to pueblo ingles,
a camp for spanish kids who want to learn english.... we went to la alberca
which is just outside of salamanca in the west of spain and my god this
place was AMAZING! it was so beautiful, we had our own bungalows and meals,
well the meals were kinda bad sometimes, i dont think the spanish really
understand vegetarianism too well, but not only that I have made some of the
BEST friends from this camp (they're all the new people on my group email
list... hi guys) it's strange how in a week i've formed such amazing bonds
with so many people... i've really got a few (more) friends for life!!!!!!!
It was pretty sad to say goodbye to them all... but i hope i'll see most of
them again!

after camp ended i went back to stay with hannah and sam for a few weeks in
alacante... and now i'm at charlie's house in denia... all in the south of
spain... all amazing friends i made at camp, british people who live in
spain... they are amazing! I'm so glad i've met them 😊 later today im off
to barcelona to met back up with siobhan (who went with her friends from
india for a bit 😊 and it's going to be sad to have to say goodbye again..
even though i've only got charlie left to say goodbye to now, who by the way
is so like me! I couldnt have picked a better british person in spain to
mooch off :P... but i'm going to miss everyone i've met at camp soooo
much... it's crazy! I promise that i'll see you all again one day.. i have
no idea when but one day 😊

anyway i must be off... i've gotta pack for barcelona... WOOO

love and miss all off you
-Joel
