Friday: Today was the last day of the “intensive month” classes. I think I’ve definitely improved my listening comprehension but I need to practice speaking more. This is the summer palace of the sultans and its gardens. This palace is about a 30 minute walk from their winter palace.

I did finally find one lion in the Palace of Carlos V - he and his brothers have been taken away to be restored.

There were incredibly ornate ceilings, columns and walls such as this one.

It doesn't look so bad in the picture because you can't hear the bed sqeaking or see the paint coming off the wall - and it wasn't even that cheap (in dollars)!

We went to a flamenco restaurant, but didn't order anything but a glass of sangria (it came with the ticket).

There was guitar playing (good), dancing (interesting) and lots of clapping, tapping and shouting (which they call singing). Make sure you watch the videos I posted and if you can't understand a thing they say - neither could I.
